Understanding Chronic Fatigue: Services and Support

While everyone has nights with little sleep that leave them feeling tired the next day, for some, it’s a more common occurrence. If you feel constantly tired even when you do get lots of sleep, there may be a more significant factor at play. You could be struggling with chronic fatigue.

“She said she felt ‘tired in her bones.’ Labs came back normal, but she knew something was off. Through functional testing, we uncovered underlying inflammation and nutritional gaps. With consistent care, she reclaimed her energy and started living again — not just coping.”

- Dr. Doug Cutler, Founder at Cutler Integrative Medicine

What is Chronic Fatigue?

When we find ourselves constantly in a high-stress environment, our body may not be able to keep up with restoring itself. The overburdening of our bodies takes a toll on our adrenal glands responsible for releasing various stress hormones, cortisol being the most important. The gland becomes exhausted and cannot function properly.

Adrenal fatigue is very common, but when the fatigue becomes chronic, more symptoms may arise. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a disease categorized by extreme fatigue, sleep abnormalities, and pain that increases with activity. The main symptom is fatigue for over six months that does not improve with rest.
