Who Can Benefit From IV Therapy?
Benefits include increased strength and boosts in performance, along with reduced fatigue and shorter recovery times.
IV Therapy uses antioxidants to fight stress-induced illness and conditions, combating the effects of prolonged cortisol elevation. B vitamins restore energy, leading to greater attention and problem-solving. This is designed to keep successful executives at peak performance.
Even if you eat well, your body might not be absorbing the vitamins and minerals it needs to fight the aging process. IV therapy boosts the antioxidant vitamin and mineral levels in your body more effectively than oral supplements. Targeted IV Nutritional Therapy is used to help your body repair damage, prevent aging, and recover its youthful vigor!
Environmental Medicine is our specialty and IV Nutritional Therapy is one tool in our multi-treatment approach. The objective of detoxification is to cleanse toxic metals and environmental toxins from the body and restore proper functioning of the autonomic nervous system and the organs affected by it. Detoxification is done in phases over time to protect the body and allow rest and healing.
A multi-strategy approach is used depending on the patient’s needs and desires:
- Safe Mercury Removal
- Oral Chelation
- Nutritional Supplementation
- Rejuvenation & Detoxification Therapies
As a result, the body’s weakest area is most likely to develop the problem first. Because the mercury toxins can travel either by way of the bloodstream or by nerve pathways, one person may develop bleeding gums and bowel problems and another severe asthma or bronchitis. A third person may experience concentration difficulties, sleep disturbances, hearing loss and dizziness, and still, others will have extreme fatigue, lack of initiative and clumsiness. Mercury can interfere with virtually any process of any organ of the body. Removal of mercury must be done by taking all precautions to protect you from further exposure.
Nourishment to the body is provided through high-grade nutritional supplements, herbs, I.V. therapy, therapeutic massage or bodywork all working to calm the body while the detox is slowly taking place.
IV Nutritional Therapy uses a powerful anti-oxidant found predominately in the brain and liver. When given intravenously it improves liver and brain function. It is often used for memory enhancement, Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Neuropathy and Liver Disease.
IV Therapy ensures that your caloric restrictions do not negatively impact your health, giving you all the necessary nutrients to feel alert, nourished, and losing fat, not muscle tissue.
IV Nutritional Therapy when used for PMS and menopause is helpful for controlling mood swings, irritability, insomnia, depression, cramps, etc.
Fatigue & Insomnia:
Poor nutrition, chronic stress, improper sleeping patterns and lack of physical activity all contribute to fatigue and bad sleep. IV Nutritional Therapy will balance the body so restful sleep can happen.
Seasonal Cold & Flu/Allergies:
Your immune system is on constant guard to protect against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. IV Nutritional Therapy can help boost your immune system to prevent illness in the first place.
What To Expect In An IV Session
First of all, there is very little pain involved. The needle used is a tiny 24 gauge. When the needle is withdrawn, a soft catheter remains in place for the remainder of the treatment. The infusion is more comfortable than an ordinary blood draw.
Depending on the infusion, you may experience the local warmth and either an increase in energy or a relaxation effect. An improved sense of calm and well-being accompanies many infusions, especially vitamin C or magnesium infusions. And many people report subsequently improved sleep.
The length of treatment depends on the nutrient mix and concentration being infused. “Pushes,” like Myers Cocktail, take about 20 minutes. “Drips,” like high dose vitamin C, may take one to four hours.
We have a dedicated infusion room that is relaxing and peaceful. You may read, watch TV, listen to music, or take a nap. Although you will be sitting most of the time, you may get up and use the restroom, if necessary.
It is best to eat before having an IV infusion as some infusions affect blood sugar. If you are diabetic, you should monitor your insulin dosage and bring snacks with you to your appointment.
Please come well hydrated and let our staff know if you have any allergies.
